UCL: They struggled against Mbappe – Ancelotti on Real Madrid’s 3-1 win over PSG

Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti, has criticized his side following their Champions League 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night in Spain.

Ancelotti said his players struggled one on one against Kylian Mbappe, adding that they also struggled to press PSG during the encounter.

A hat-trick from Karim Benzema ensured Real Madrid defeated PSG 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe did score a goal for Mauricio Pochettino’s side but Real Madrid qualified for the last eight on a 3-2 aggregate win.

“It’s a very special night. It was really tough when they scored, but after that we pressed them high and scored our first goal from it.

“The fans also pushed us and that helped. We are so happy. It has been a spectacular night.

“We started well, but then we struggled to press them because they kept the ball well and we suffered. We also struggled one vs one with Mbappé,” Ancelotti said at his post-match press conference.
