EPL: They’re not good football team, no energy – Alan Shearer slams Manchester United

Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer, has slammed Manchester United for playing a 1-1 draw with Leicester City in a Premier League tie over the weekend.

Shearer said Man United are not a very good football team after failing to beat Leicester City at Old Trafford.

According to him, the Red Devils have no energy, and their players are disinterested.

Man United and Leicester City drew on Saturday, thanks to goals from Kelechi Iheanacho and Fred.

The result against the Foxes means Ralf Rangnick’s side are now in the seventh position on the Premier League table.

Speaking on the BBC’s flagship show, Shearer said, “They were flat, Man United, no energy, no spark. Players looked disinterested, they are not a very good football team. When they play this way or this system, they make it easier for the opposition. When you play there you have got to have runners in behind, you have got to ask different questions of the back four and Manchester United did not have that.”

He added: “There was no focal point, there was nobody in the box to hit, no one to attack the ball if or when a ball came in there. No Cavani, no Ronaldo, it is another conversation to say if Marcus Rashford cannot get into that team, there has to be big issues in terms of his form.”
